Welcome to Philadelphia – Photo by http://twitter.com/attila

Mayor Alex is working hard with Ambassador Finnegan on the festivities in his home town.
There will be cheese steaks consumed, much karaoke and coworking done.
We’re planning on arriving early on Sunday in time for the crew to get a proper Philly brunch, and maybe even do some laundry. But at 5pm, the party gets started.
Head to The Piazza in Norther Liberties from 5-9pm on Sunday, July 26th as Whuffaoke joins their weekly party Sundae Philadelphia. It’s just a couple of blocks from the Girard stop on the EL, or easily accessible by cab or car. The Philadelphia Edition of Whuffaoke will kick off from the Piazza, just along side the venue’s bars & restaurants, and dozens of art galleries. Bring your song list, because this is going to be an EPIC karaoke event! We’
Things slow down at the Piazza around 9, but that doesn’t me we have to stop singing! Follow the Whuffaoke crew down to Old City, where we’ll be singing at our favorite local TechKaraoke spot…National Mechanics! Just because it’s a Sunday night doesn’t mean it’s not a party night…
On Monday during the day, you can find the Whuffaoke crew hanging out at IndyHall, catching up on work and other important administrative tasks. The new IndyHall office may be big, but the winnebago won’t fit in the elevator so we’ll have to leave her at home…
But we’ll bring her back into the city on Monday night for a street-karaoke happy hour! The Sailor Jerry Store at 13th and Sansom has agreed to help us out and we’ll be parking right in front of their store, cranking up the speakers, and hoping to pick up some random karaoke enthusiasts walking the neighborhood during their happy hour! We’ll be at the location promptly on Monday the 27th at 5pm, and will pack up at 7pm, since that’s the length the city has allowed us to pull this stunt.
As always, Whuffaoke invites EVERYONE to attend, but we do suggest that you RSVP so we can try to anticipate headcount.
Huge thanks to Jonathan Finnegan (@haveboard) for all of his hard work putting these events together, as well as The Piazza, National Mechanics, and The Sailor Jerry Store. Let’s not forget the city of Philadelphia for allowing us to bring this rockus party through town. And of course, we are also thrilled to have Amanda Dillon on board for her endless Whuffaoke rallying cry, keeping Philly pumped for Whuffaoke since before we even left San Francisco.
